What is Raise Resilience?
Raise Resilience is a six-session course that introduces the science of mental resilience and shows you practical ways to build it in yourself and your children.
Who is the course for?
It is for parents, carers and other adults living in Dacorum who support children and young people and would like to understand more about mental resilience and emotional wellbeing.
How old should my child be?
The downloadable activities are designed mainly for children aged nine and above, although many of the principles and activities can be adapted for younger children.
Does my child attend the sessions?
No. The webinars are designed for adults. You will receive activities and ideas that you can choose to explore with your child afterwards.
Do I have to appear on camera?
No. The course is delivered as a webinar. You will see the Bounce Forward trainer and the session content, but other attendees will not see you.
What happens if I miss a session?
Each session is recorded, so you can catch up afterwards. You will also receive the relevant tools and downloadable resources.
Is the course suitable for families of children with SEND?
The course is not specifically designed as a SEND programme, but many parents adapt the ideas and activities to suit their child’s individual needs. Please contact us before registering if you would like to discuss accessibility or suitability.
Is the course really free?
Yes. The course is offered free of charge to eligible parents and carers living in Dacorum through the partnership.
